· All issues pertaining to Design, Field performance, Failures, Design revision, performance monitoring of the following wagons:
§ Hopper Wagon, Tank Wagons, Container Wagons, Flat Wagons, Spl purpose&Military wagons

|
- All activities of design, manufacturing, field issues & vendor development related to wagons mentioned in core activity.
Core Activity:-
· Raw Sheet/Plate including adoption of newer raw material, ISO related activities of Dte, Fasteners, Issues pertaining to vendor development of CRF section/CRF related issues
· All issues pertaining to Design, Field performance, Failures, Design revision, performance monitoring of the following wagons:
§ Open Wagons(Other than those dealt by WD-I), Covered Wagons, Brake Vans&Rehabilitation of wagons.

- Couplers, Draft Gears&Brake System & its components

Administrative incharge of the specialized cell operating in the directorate, maintenance related issues of wagons including inputs in the online maintenance monitoring system of freight wagons, inputs on FOIS and other modules being developed by CRIS.
Core Activity:-
- Maintenance related issues of wagons including inputs in the online maintenance monitoring system of freight wagons, inputs on FOIS and other modules being developed by CRIS, Issues related to Tipplers, Issues related to weighbridges, Maintenance related issues of 25T/32.5T contract of wagon directorate
