Testing Directorate of RDSO is one of the important directorate having five field units and three testing labs. This Directorate undertakes design validation of all newly designed/modified rolling stock developed, whether in house or imported. Besides undertaking actual field and static trials, this Directorate has three laboratories for conducting simulated trials on rolling stock sub-assemblies and its various components.
