In references to the above, a RDSO specification No RDSO/2008/CG-04 for supply, installation, commissioning & maintenance of ?Automatic Fire/Smoke Detection with Alarm System for Trial in Indian Railway Coaches? was issued. According to the specification the said system installed on 18 nos. LHB Rajdhani coaches, which is presently running on trial in NDLS-BBS Rajdhani coaches.

After gaining experience with the installed system in above said train, a revised draft specification for the same has been uploaded for one month on RDSO website www.rdso.indianrailways.gov.in for valuable open comments.
